A Spicher was used to store supplies. That next to the Althuus was initially built in Golaten in 1725 and erected in Jerisberghof in 1970 (since the original Spicher of the Althuus could not be acquired). This is in fact in keeping with tradition, since a Spicher would not infrequently be taken along when its owners moved to another farm.
